Source: TE Miller gets extension

The Pittsburgh Steelers rewarded tight end Heath Miller with the contract extension he has been seeking for the past year.

On Wednesday evening, Miiller agreed to a six-year, $35.3 million deal that includes a $12.5 million signing bonus, according a source. Miller was entering the final year of his contract and was scheduled to make around $1.8 million this season. The extension will keep him with the Steelers through the 2014 season.
