The Man Behind The Weather Map

We take surf forecasts for granted today. We flip on our computers, open up Surfline, spend a few minutes looking at the cams and maybe another couple minutes skimming the forecast to see when it's going to be good again. Then we're either off to the beach or back to work. It's never been so easy to know if the surf's up or down. This was hardly the case in 1960 when Sean Collins began surfing in Seal Beach.
