Cubs' Ramirez received cortisone shot on Tuesday

Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez was scheduled to see a doctor today and receive a cortisone shot in his sore left shoulder, according to sources close to Ramirez.

If Ramirez went through with the plan, he will be unable to play for at least three days, as the medication works into the shoulder. Ramirez initially dislocated his shoulder on May 8, afterwards missing eight weeks.
