Aramis Ramirez told the Cubs' training staff Friday he wasn't feeling well enough to play due to a head cold.
After getting a cortisone shot to cool off an achy left shoulder on Monday, the diagnosis turned out to be a little worse than a cold. Ramirez was sent home when team doctors found that inflamed tonsils were a part of third baseman's recent illness.
