Many Vikings are excited to have Brett Favre as their quarterback. But there also are players in the Vikings' locker room that believe Tarvaris Jackson gives Minnesota the best chance to win.

Granted, Jackson is coming off a preseason game in which he had a perfect quarterback rating, and Favre struggled. But Jackson is popular among his teammates, and clearly has his supporters.

Now, should Favre play better and win games, some of Jackson's support could dwindle. But there also could be more drama surrounding Favre, as there usually seems to be.

The Vick Experience

No more suspense, no more drama. The Michael Vick Experience -- albeit in a different form -- resumes Thursday night against Jacksonville.

Vick will play.

The Eagles will use him intermittently for about a half -- maybe a little less, maybe a little more. But it will be Vick's first game action since he went to jail for his part in a dog-fighting ring.

Philadelphia is anxious to see what Vick can do in its offense. But what Vick has shown the Eagles so far is that he is a hard worker.

Vick and Donovan McNabb have worked out every morning together for an hour, starting at 7, up until just before the 8 a.m. team meeting. Vick also has worked out after practice each day for another 30 or so minutes.

Now the Eagles will get their first glimpse of whether Vick will work out for them on the field.
