Seymour trade hurts value of Patriots' defense
We wake up Sunday morning exhilarated after a busy Saturday cut-down day in the NFL, only to discover that a future Hall of Famer has been traded. That doesn't usually happen, especially not when the guy is only 29 years old. But that's what happened: the Patriots traded the cornerstone of their defense, defensive lineman Richard Seymour, to the Raiders for Oakland's first-round pick in 2011. That's 2011, folks. Not 2010.
