Remember the 2000 U.S. Open final?

A 20-year-old Marat Safin was facing one of the game's all-time greats, Pete Sampras, in the Russian's maiden Grand Slam final. The substantial underdog, Safin crushed Sampras in straight sets to truly announce himself to the tennis world.

Juan Martin del Potro hopes for the same outcome -- he'll take a win in any number of sets -- when he battles Roger Federer in today's final. He's 20, too.
