Jones stuck in AHL; two OHL stars unite with Isles
Today is among my favorite days on the hockey calendar: the last day of the exhibition season! Thank goodness. Let's get on with it. The final two exhibition games take place overseas with the Detroit Wings and Florida Panthers skating against Swedish and Finnish League teams, respectively.
All the teams have to finalize their season-opening rosters today. That means getting themselves cap-compliant. Over the past couple of days, teams have been putting numerous players through waivers for the purposes of sending them to the minors -- and, in some cases, ridding themselves of possible salary cap problems.
