Running back James White (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) knew going into Friday night's 42-34 win against second-ranked Byrnes (Duncan, S.C.) that he would get the chance to have an impact. Starting running back Giovanni Bernard was questionable heading into the contest with a sprained hamstring, and though the four-star running back played (12 carries for 37 yards), it was White who got the call when the game was on the line. During the drive, White also ripped off runs of 16 and 17 yards and had a 20-yard reception.
