Red Oak coming through in the clutch

District 15-4A teams are learning that a fourth-quarter lead is never safe against the Red Oak Hawks.

In all four of its district games this season, Red Oak (6-2 overall, 4-0 in 15-4A) has scored in the fourth quarter or overtime to take the lead and win the game.

The latest example came against Terrell (5-2, 1-2) last week. The Hawks coughed up a late lead but prevailed in double overtime, 41-25, on an 8-yard touchdown run by quarterback Travis Wallis.
