Cowboys dinged up, trail after first quarter

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Cowboys allowed the longest opening drive of the season, 16 plays and 80 yards in 8:34, as the Falcons took a 7-0 lead.

The Cowboys suffered two injuries. They lost return man Allen Rossum to a strained hamstring on his first return since the team signed him last week. Also, quarterback Tony Romo suffered a neck injury of some sort when he got popped as he was falling to the turf. Romo was examined by a team of doctors and trainers on the sidelines.
