Some scary sights over Halloween weekend

You'll have to forgive me if I'm a little too giddy today. I'm coming off a great weekend of hockey games, two Yankees wins and Brett Favre's monster (for me) stick-it-to-Packers-management win at Lambeau. I have to admit I really loved that last one. Woo hoo, baby!

The one down note: I realized there's only one more episode of "Mad Men" (Sunday). I don't watch too much series TV anymore, but I really enjoy that show. I guess it's because I'm old enough to remember (vaguely) the '60s.

So, with a tip of the cap to Favre, Mo Rivera and Peggy Olson (would you please dump, Duck!), here's the Monday 10.

1. The early-season injury bug bit Washington Capitals stud Alex Ovechkin, who left the club's Sunday afternoon 5-4 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second period with the dreaded "upper body" injury. Washington Post ace hockey scribe Tarik El-Bashir speculated that Ovi's injury might have something to do with his left arm. The club is listing him as day-to-day. As someone who loves watching him play, I hope it's as simple as that. The Caps don't play again until Wednesday, when they visit the New Jersey Devils.
