Tuesday afternoon quick hitters.

• Running back Eduardo Clements (Miami/Booker T. Washington) became the second highly-regarded running back to commit to the Hurricanes this week when he announced his decision on Tuesday. He joins Under Armour All-American Storm Johnson (Loganville, Ga./Loganville), who announced his decision over the weekend. ESPN affiliate InsidetheU.com was the first report Clements' decision.

Clements gives the Canes a smaller back to go along with Johnson, who is more of a power runner. It's obvious from watching what Miami does with Javaris James (418 yards, four touchdowns), Graig Cooper (326 yards, one touchdown) and Damien Berry (303 yards, four touchdowns) that offensive coordinator Mark Whipple can make good use out of multiple backs.
