Veteran, who signed 4-year pact in offseason, embraces utility role

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- It's not often that a team can lose a starting defensive end to a knee injury and replace him with a player who has a team-high total in sacks.

That's what the Patriots figure to do, with Jarvis Green expected to be sidelined 2-4 weeks and Mike Wright (four sacks) the projected top replacement.
