Tests confirm tendinitis in Williams' shoulder
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Yankees center fielder Bernie Williams returned Wednesday to New York for an MRI on his sore left shoulder and missed the wrapup of a two-game series against the Kansas City Royals.
The examination confirmed an earlier diagnosis of tendinitis in the shoulder. But the Yankees said Williams was expected to play Friday against Boston.
