Here are 10 key basketball players with something to prove this college season …

Jerome Dyson, Connecticut: Not only does he have to prove that he is healthy, he has to prove that he can be a leader and a go-to guy. Always talented and explosive, Dyson has not always been consistent and reliable. He is a warrior, though, and does not back down from a challenge. This season, with the steady A.J. Price gone, Dyson will have to step up his maturity level and on-court discipline to be an All-Big East performer.
