Cal and UCLA battling for RB James

As was earlier reported by ESPN's Billy Tucker, running back Jordon James (Corona, Calif./Corona) will make his college choice this Thursday at halftime of the ESPNU boys basketball game of the week (tip off is at 4:00 p.m. PT).

James has narrowed his choices to Arizona, Cal and UCLA. He just visited the Wildcats this past weekend and took an official visit to Berkeley back in early October. He was scheduled to visit UCLA in two weeks, but has taken multiple unofficial visits to the Westwood campus.

In breaking down James' recruitment early on, the word was UCLA was a big leader. There was even talk that James had given the Bruins a silent commitment and was just taking the visits to check out a few places before announcing for UCLA at the Under Armour game.
