Briatore vents over lifetime suspension
PARIS -- Former Renault boss Flavio Briatore says he has been suspended by the FIA as a result of secret negotiations.
Briatore was handed a lifetime suspension in September after motorsport's governing body ruled that the flamboyant Italian was behind a scam in which Renault driver Nelson Piquet Jr. was ordered to deliberately crash his car at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix to help teammate Fernando Alonso win the race.
