Devils hope to be road warriors

The New Jersey Devils will try to tie a NHL record on Monday for road wins from the start of a season when they play at the Philadelphia Flyers.

The record is 10 straight by the Buffalo Sabres during the 2006-07 season. That year, the Sabres won the Presidents' Trophy for having the NHL's best record at 53-22-7 for 113 points. However, they lost in the Eastern Conference finals to the Ottawa Senators.
