The Michigan-Ohio State game in Ann Arbor attracted the most attention on the recruiting front this past weekend, but Rich Rodriguez was certainly not the only Midwest coach busy with recruiting.

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio and Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis welcomed in prospects on official visits as the Spartans took on Penn State and the Irish played Connecticut.

In East Lansing, Dantonio landed a key commitment. Offensive lineman Skyler Schofner (Sunbury, Ohio/Big Walnut) didn't need much time to decide Michigan State is where he wants to continue his education and football career. Schofner committed to the Spartans on Saturday over scholarship offers from Michigan, Cincinnati, Purdue, Wisconsin, Kentucky and others. Schofner is commitment No. 15 for Dantonio.
