Will Alex Ovechkin's first suspension have any lasting impact on him?

So, Alex Ovechkin got a couple of games to ice down his sore right knee and contemplate the error of his ways.

That's about right, all things considered: a two-game suspension for The Great Eight's knee-on-knee hit on Carolina defenseman Tim Gleason in the Capitals' 3-2 win on Monday night.

Ovechkin is lucky on a number of fronts.
