Redding, Reed, Sullivan let go by Mets
NEW YORK -- Tim Redding has been let go by the New York Mets after going 3-6 with a 5.10 ERA in 17 starts this year for the injury ravaged team.
Redding was among four players who became free agents when the Mets decided Saturday not to offer them 2010 contracts. He was joined by outfielders Jeremy Reed and Cory Sullivan, and pitcher Lance Broadway. All but Broadway had been eligible for salary arbitration.
