Croatian's knee likely OK for Vancouver
BASEL, Switzerland -- Former slalom world champion Ivica Kostelic of Croatia is expected to compete at the Winter Olympics after having the sixth knee operation of his career.
Croatia's ski federation said in a statement that Kostelic had surgery on Sunday to repair the meniscus on his right knee and that his ligaments were unaffected. The 30-year-old will return to Croatia on Monday.
