What we learned: Charles strong in losing effort

I'm not sure what happened to those defensive battles the NFC East used to be known for, but Sunday night's Philadelphia Eagles-New York Giants tilt sure made fantasy owners smile. DeSean Jackson returned from a one-game absence due to a concussion and had his best game of the season; the quarterbacks delivered two of the top four performances of the week (entering Monday night); and it was easy to spot a star emerging to replace Plaxico Burress, assuming Hakeem Nicks can cut down on the drops.

The key running backs, however, remained disappointing. I ranked Brandon Jacobs in my top 20 among running backs this week, and while he seemed to slash through the Eagles defense at times early in the game, he finished with a mere 60 rushing yards on 4 yards per carry, one touchdown and, thanks to a key fumble, only 10 fantasy points. Ahmad Bradshaw looked better, and actually had more fantasy points. LeSean McCoy was also the second-best running back on his own team despite getting more carries than Leonard Weaver. Now I'm wondering how far McCoy will drop in my rankings for Week 15, and if I should move up Bradshaw and Weaver.
