Recognizing college basketball's underappreciated

Before getting into the Crosstown Shootout, UNC-Texas and the Atlantic 10, let's take a look at some guys who aren't getting the attention they deserve: Malcolm Delaney, Virginia Tech: When I was coaching, I loved Baltimore guards. Because they usually don't get the publicity that their fellow Amtrak corridor comrades do in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York City, they play with a chip on their shoulder and always have something to prove. Virginia Tech's junior point guard, one of the Charm City's best, fits that "chip on the shoulder" mold. He is averaging 21 points a game, and his only single-digit game this season came in a blowout against VMI. He has exploded for 32 points in a loss to Temple and 27 in a win at Penn State.
