Research: Parker a notable HOF snub
The holiday weekend was busy on the home front, so I cede today's lead to Mark Simon of ESPN Research, on the Hall of Fame voting:
One candidate for whom ESPN.com didn't break down strengths of candidacy was Dave Parker, who will be in his 14th year on the ballot, after receiving 15 percent of the vote last year. Parker's candidacy has never really taken off, but this nugget, found with the help of Baseball-Reference.com's Awards voting section, provides some interesting food for thought.
To read the rest of Mark's case for Dave Parker, plus Buster's news, notes and mailbag questions, you must be an ESPN Insider.
