Tipsarevic beats Moya at Chennai Open
CHENNAI, India -- Fourth-seeded Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia beat former champion Carlos Moya 6-3, 7-6 (2) in the opening round of the Chennai Open on Monday.
The 33-year-old Moya, a former No. 1 from Spain and winner of the title in Chennai in 2004 and 2005, was returning to the ATP Tour after having surgery on his right toe and recovering from a hamstring injury.
