Helfant's progress one year into the job
MELBOURNE, Australia -- A year ago during the Australian Open, newly appointed ATP executive chairman and president Adam Helfant appeared before a group of about 20 reporters for an informal question-and-answer session. Not much came out of it because Helfant, a former vice president of global sports marketing for Nike and onetime attorney for the National Hockey League, was new to tennis and cautious about saying very much.
