After losing a pair of receivers to Fresno State in the last month, Cal was in big need for a playmaking pass-catcher. After standout WR Kaelin Clay (Long Beach, Calif./L.B. Polytechnic) visited Cal this past weekend he jumped on an offer.

Clay is an intriguing prospect, who started the season off at receiver, but moved over to running back late in the year when the Jackrabbits passing game just couldn't get going. He visited Hawaii a week ago and was scheduled to visit Fresno State before the Bears came calling.

"Cal offered the visit and I decided to check it out," Clay said. "Cal is a big-time program in the Pac-10 and we've had some players from Poly go to Cal and do well. I mean, everyone knows about DeSean Jackson and it would be great to go and have the same impact he did.
