The Baylor Bears added to their impressive haul of defensive linemen in this class on Monday, receiving a commitment from defensive tackle Dominique Jones (Midwest City, Okla./Midwest City). He is a 6-foot-2, 280-pound run stuffer with adequate first-step quickness and the ability to collapse the pocket. Jones committed to Arizona in December, but switched after learning Arizona had filled his position in early January. The three-star recruit picked Baylor over Kansas State Defensive end/linebacker Clarence Lee (Jefferson, Texas/ Jefferson) and defensive end Kedrick Dial (Sulphur Springs, Texas/Sulphur Springs) round out Baylor's imcoming defensive linemen. Lee switched his committment from Houston to Baylor and the 6-3, 210-pounder needs time to fill out physically, but will bring pressure off the edge. Dial switched his commitment from Texas Tech to Baylor on Saturday. Along with the defensive line haul, the Bears also received a pledge from quarterback Tyrell Jenkins (Henderson, Texas/Henderson) on Sunday. The 6-3, 180-pound signal caller with a plus arm and 4.6-speed has flown under the radar for the most part due to his immense talent on the diamond. Jenkins is projected to be a 2010 MLB draft pick.
