Junior cornerback Kolby Griffin (Houston, Texas/St. Pius X) picked up his second offer on Saturday. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder with long arms made a pair of junior day visits over the weekend and picked up an offer from TCU. "I got there early. I drove around the campus for a little bit. I decided to walk in a little early and I met with coach (Eddie) Williamson. Coach Williamson asked me to walk down to coach (Gary) Patterson's office. He said coach Patterson wanted to see me. I still had no idea I was going to be offered," said Griffin. "I walked into the room and coach Patterson and Mrs. Patterson were in there. My dad and I sat down and we had 15- or 20-minute conversation, not even about football, but about life, academics and the social life around the campus. Towards the end of the conversation, Mrs. Patterson congratulated me on a receiving an offer from TCU. She put the offer out in front of me and said they wanted me to be part of the family, which is what they stressed the entire day." After an impressive and successful trip to TCU Saturday, Griffin, accompanied by his father, made the drive down I-35 to take in Baylor's junior day. The Bears hold a special place for Griffin.
