SUMMERTON, S.C. -- Jerell Adams (Summerton, S.C./Scotts Branch) could emerge as one of the more versatile jumbo athletes in the Palmetto State for the Class of 2011. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder already is getting looks from several major programs for both football and basketball.

Playing quarterback in a Wing T offense and safety for his high school team last season, Adams was named an All-Area selection for football. Clemson, South Carolina and other programs are showing early interest.

The Tigers have told him that they like him as a defensive end. He has been up for a couple of games at Death Valley.
