Count the ways Butler thrives in small ball

Brad Stevens' 13th-ranked Butler Bulldogs are 23-4 and undefeated in the Horizon League (16-0), pursuing only the fourth perfect regular season in conference history. Like other teams before it, Butler has embraced the "Butler way." In other words, the Bulldogs are great at playing small ball. The style of play that uses four perimeter players who can spread the defense with their shooting, attack with their dribbling and use the post to pound you inside isn't unique to the Bulldogs. Villanova, Marquette and Oklahoma State also have embraced this style, but perhaps no one has more than Butler.
