One of the most impressive linebackers at the Under Armour combine in Davie, Fla. on Sunday was Conrad Johnson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Dillard). Not only did the 5-foot-9, 209-pounder put together a terrific day of testing, he showed great lateral quickness, as well as quick reactions in drill work and seven-on-sevens.
Johnson possesses a powerful, compact body type and he recorded a blistering 4.36 pro agility shuttle, a very impressive 7.13 L-cone drill time (which measures quickness and change of direction) and a 34.5-inch vertical leap. Add in 24 reps of 185 pounds and the junior had quite a day and college coaches have taken notice.
"I'm receiving interest from Wisconsin, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Illinois, Vanderbilt and Florida State," said Johnson.
