Oklahoma was the latest school to offer athlete Hakeem Flowers (Greenville, S.C./Wade Hampton). Flowers' recruitment is one of the more interesting early stories in the 2011 class. He has a slew of offers from schools around the country, including Auburn, Michigan, North Carolina, Miami (Fla.), Notre Dame and Tennessee, among others, but the three closest BCS conference programs- Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina- have not offered. The Tigers and Gamecocks both have evaluated him.

Flowers was at the Under Armour All-American national combine and measured in at 6-foot-1 1/2, 170 pounds. He ran a 7.91 L-cone, a 4.5 short shuttle, a 4.69 40-yard dash and a 33-inch vertical leap. He recently attended junior day at Alabama and will head to Texas for junior day this weekend.

Wood getting SEC interest
Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State all are showing interest in defensive end Kameron Wood (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll).
