The pipeline from First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Fla. to Florida State continues as Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive line Derrick Mitchell committed to the Seminoles.

The 6-foot-6, 285-pounder becomes the second First Coast prospect to commit to Florida State in this recruiting cycle, joining running back Eric Beverly.

His decision to play for the Seminoles, where his father played basketball, was largely based on his relationship with Florida State defensive line coach Odell Haggins.
