The Northeast Hoops Festival featured 137 teams this weekend including many of the top programs from New England and the nearby Tristate Area. The field was led by programs like the New England Playaz, New York Panthers, Xpressions Elite, Long Island Lightning Dingle, Connecticut Basketball Club, Mass Rivals, and several more.

Despite the event's significant depth, two programs came away with the majority of the hardware as Connecticut Basketball Club took championships in U17, U13, and U12 while Xpressions Elite won the gold in U16 and U15. CBC knocked off Xpressions in the u17 final despite missing their starting frontline of Andre Drummond and Vince Van Nes, who both had to make early exits on Sunday to return to their respective prep schools by check-in time. Other players stepped up as Freddie Wilson (New Haven, Conn./Hillhouse) led the way with 22 points while future post-grads Phil Gaetano (Wallingford, Conn./Sheehan) and Brandon Sherrod (Stratford, Conn./Stratford H.S.) finished with 17 and 14 points respectively. Unsigned senior Denzel Brito (Onset, Mass./Lawrence Academy) led Xpressions with 17.

Akosa Maduegbunam (Charlestown, Mass./Charlestown H.S.) stood out for Xpressions in the u16 final while his high school teammate Ramon Gibbons (Charlestown, Mass./Charlestown H.S.) scored 26 in the U15 final.
