Tough to place draft prospects
Every year there are players that are tough to figure out. Sometimes it's about the player's abilities, a specific skill or whether or not his performances match up with his physical tools. But sometimes it's about where a player fits in the draft.
Keith Law may have a better feel for some of these guys, but despite getting some consistent Top 40 assessments, placing them with a club in the first 40 picks is difficult, as it was last spring with LHP Rex Brothers, 1B/ 3B Bobby Borchering and CF Tim Wheeler.
This year it is tough find a range where the following three players make sense, without pushing a significantly better player too far down or out of the round:
