Andy Pettitte had never started a season pitching six-plus innings while allowing two earned runs or fewer in each of his first three starts until Sunday. The New York Yankees lefty is 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA after shutting down the Texas Rangers Sunday. Pettitte hasn't exactly been facing bad offenses, either (Red Sox, Angels and Rangers).

Los Angeles Angels right-hander Ervin Santana lost to Pettitte last week, and his bullpen did him no favors. On Sunday, Santana handled things himself, taking a shutout into the ninth inning and completing a 3-1 win against the Toronto Blue Jays. Yes, Santana was not good last season. Check out his 2008 to see his potential.
