The New York Mets gave up on first baseman Mike Jacobs after only 24 at-bats, which seems a bit soon to me. Then again, with awesome, terrific prospect Ike Davis ready to win the Triple Crown … OK, let's stop. Yes, the Mets have problems, but they weren't all Jacobs' fault. When Jacobs was dumped by the Mets this weekend, it signaled the Davis era is here. Monday mornings are always a busy time in fantasy baseball leagues, and I've already seen Davis added -- and in a few cases activated -- in leagues. Wow. Just wow.
