Box Score Bits: Davis' debut, Morrow wins

• The future at first base began for the New York Mets, as Ike Davis singled twice in four at-bats and knocked in a run in the team's 6-1 win Monday. Unlike predecessor Mike Jacobs, who hit cleanup a few times, Davis batted sixth. He's already been added in 3.3 percent of ESPN standard mixed leagues.

• Davis is more popular than Toronto Blue Jays third baseman/outfielder Jose Bautista, who swatted a pair of home runs Monday and drove in five runs. Bautista is still hitting only .216, and probably lost his leadoff spot when Fred Lewis was acquired, but he has hit 13 or more home runs four consecutive seasons.
