Tuesday morning quick hitters

• Tight end Jeff Heuerman (Naples, Fla./Barron Collier) was an excellent pickup for Ohio State. The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder caught our eye at the Badger Sport Elite 7-on-7 last month in Tampa. He's got a great frame, good hands and is athletic. With some development, he will be a big contributor in Columbus. • Ohio State has always recruited Florida fairly well and this recruiting cycle is no exception. The Buckeyes landed ESPNU 150 Watch List safety Jeremy Cash (Plantation, Fla./Plantation) recently and are in on a number of other Sunshine State prospects. • Defensive lineman Marquis Wright (Paramus, N.J./Paramus Catholic) told ESPN affiliate NittanyNetwork.com that Penn State currently held the lead for his services. During a visit with Wright at his school two weeks ago, we came away with the same feeling. In fact, it would surprise us at this point if he ended up anywhere but State College.
