It's the final Friday Night Lights of the regular season, and while some of the top arms in the college ranks made their starts Thursday, below is the best of Friday.
Pitching matchup: Oregon State RHP Greg Peavey vs. Arizona State RHP Seth Blair
San Diego RHP Kyle Blair faces Pepperdine southpaw Matt Bywater in a matchup of potential second-day starters, but there may be more on the line in the Peavy-Blair duel.
Peavey, twice a draft pick already, has a chance to push his way into the fourth or fifth round with a strong finish to the season. Multiple area scouts have noted this spring that there is more in Peavey's tank -- in terms of stuff and velocity -- but for him to be drafted for more than he's shown thus far, there has to be flashes of such potential.
In his final start, Peavey has one last chance to shine, and against a strong Arizona State lineup. Blair, who ranks No. 62 on the Top 100, could go as high as the compensatory round, and profiles as a No. 3 or 4 starter in the pros.
Best stuff after the jump is a possible draft flow. If Harper goes No. 1 (expected), what does No. 2 do to No. 3, No. 3 to No. 4, and so on and so forth? Interesting stuff. 17 days 'till the draft. Time to get on this train, no? Become an Insider.
