Academic issues for LB Maresh

Minnesota linebacker Sam Maresh, who worked his way back from heart surgery to play college football, has left school because of academic issues.

Maresh's father Bill told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that his son soon will begin classes at a local community college and likely will enroll in a junior college this fall, missing the 2010 season.
