Olympic champion edges Sturrup
RABAT, Morocco -- Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser of Jamaica has edged Chandra Sturrup of the Bahamas to win the women's 100 meters at the Mohammed VI meeting.
Fraser, the 100 world and Olympic champion, ran 11.13 seconds on Sunday to beat Sturrup by 0.01 seconds. American sprinter Tianna Madison finished third in 11.41.
Wallace Spearmon of the United States clocked 20.35 to win the 200. Steve Mullings of Jamaica was second in 20.75.
