Box Score Bits: Theriot, DeWitt shine
Chicago Cubs middle infielder Ryan Theriot, high on ESPN's most-dropped list due to a recent slump, had two hits, two walks, two stolen bases and scored four runs Monday. Theriot, owned in 72.9 percent of leagues, hadn't scored a run or stolen a base in 10 games. He remains relatively safe in batting average and should steal 20-plus bases.
Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Blake DeWitt homered and knocked in five runs Monday, delivering his third consecutive multihit game. DeWitt has strong plate discipline, but it hasn't translated into power in the big leagues yet. Keep an eye on DeWitt in case he develops more.
