It's only fitting that in a week dominated by the next generation of baseball stars, the Cleveland Indians have announced that future stud catcher Carlos Santana will be called up from Triple-A Columbus and start showing off his skills this weekend against the Washington Nationals. On Sunday he might even get to face Stephen Strasburg. That should be interesting.

Santana has had little trouble handling minor league pitching. At Triple-A Columbus this season, he hit 13 home runs, with 51 RBIs, a .316 batting average and a 1.044 OPS, in just 57 games. A year ago at Double-A Akron, he batted .288 with 22 home runs, 93 RBIs and 90 walks in 129 games.
