Box Score Bits: Wolf solid, Aybar injured
• Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Randy Wolf scattered three hits over seven innings Monday, beating the Los Angeles Angels for his fifth win. Wolf lowered his ERA to 5.06, which is still much higher than expected. Walks and home runs have been the culprits, but Wolf's strikeout potential makes him interesting if he can overcome those issues.
• Angels shortstop Erick Aybar left Monday's game with a hyperextended left knee after a Casey McGehee takeout slide. Aybar, the team's leadoff hitter and purveyor of 11 stolen bases and 41 runs scored, should miss playing time. Maicer Izturis replaced Aybar at shortstop, but this should guarantee more playing time for Kevin Frandsen at third base; he knocked in both Angels runs and is hitting .360.
