Minors: Is Sam Demel a saves sleeper?

There hasn't been much in the way of redeeming factors for the Arizona Diamondbacks' bullpen this season. The team's combined relief ERA of 7.21 is by far the worst in baseball, and they have given up more homers than any other bullpen despite ranking just 27th in bullpen innings pitched. Only the Seattle Mariners' relievers have more losses, and only the Cleveland Indians 'pen has a worse strikeout-to-walk ratio.
The D-backs are hoping 24-year-old right-hander Sam Demel, acquired from the Oakland Athletics for Conor Jackson, is part of the solution to the problem.
