Bruins end Winkler's day very early

OMAHA, Neb. -- Kyle Winkler had a nightmare day at the College World Series, but at least for his sake it was short.

The TCU starter was pulled after just making nine pitches against UCLA. In those nine pitches, he hit a batter, allowed a single and gotten taken deep for a three-run home run by Blair Dunlap. Ouch.

The Horned Frogs struck first in the top of the first off Trevor Bauer, as Bryan Holaday hit a solo homer. Holaday has eight hits and three homers in the World ...
